Stormwater Pollution Found in Your Area!  A 4.3” x 11” door hanger for color printing on cardstock.  The door hanger lets the citizens know about stormwater pollution problems in their area and what can be done to minimize or eliminate the pollutants. Nonpoint Source Pollution:  Problems and Solutions.  A 9” x 16” quarter-folded brochure for color printing on medium to heavy weight paper.  This brochure is largely graphic and briefly discusses the causes of NPS pollution.  Greater detail is provided regarding what people can do to reduce NPS pollution – tips are broken down by target audiences such as homeowners, farmers, civic leaders, and developers.    The brochure can be viewed on the MDEQ website (http://www.deq.state.ms.us/MDEQ.nsf/pdf/NPS_NPS_ProblemsandSolutions/$File/NPS_ProblemsandSolutions.pdf?OpenElement) in *.pdf format, but the quality is low and is not suitable for printing.

Watershed Harmony Musical Puppet Play.  An 8.5” x 11” brochure for color printing on medium weight paper.  This brochure provides information about this musical puppet show focusing on the importance of responsible environmental stewardship.  The show is available at no cost for adults and children by request.  The play is produced by Bayou Town Productions and sponsored by the MDEQ.  This brochure is available in Microsoft Word format from the MDEQ.  Additional information about Bayou Town is available on their website (www.bayoutown.com).

 

MDEQ Publications.  MDEQ offers a series of tri-folded brochures on recycling and solid waste reduction including “Proper Disposal of Motor Oil”, “Proper Disposal of Paint & Thinner”, “How to Reduce Junk Mail”, “Alternatives to Household Hazardous Waste Products”, and more.  These brochures are typically monochromatic with minimal graphics.  They are specific to one issue and only provide solutions to that one issue.  These brochures are available from MDEQ at no cost.  An order form for these brochures is available in *.pdf format on the MDEQ website (http://www.deq.state.ms.us/MDEQ.nsf/pdf/Recycling_RecyclingPublicationBrochure/$File/OrderForm.pdf?OpenElement).

 

Household Hazardous Waste
