SPECIAL CALL MEETING MARCH 31, 2005

 

 

Be it remembered that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs met in a Special Call Meeting at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs at 6:00 p.m. on March 31, 2005.   Mayor Ainsworth presiding, Aldermen Jalanavich, Lloyd, Cody, Dalgo, and Gill were present.  Also present was City Clerk Adrienne Howell. 

 

Mayor Ainsworth called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

 

Motion was made by Alderman Cody, seconded by Alderman Dalgo and unanimously carried to approve the budget amendments (Exhibit 1) as presented by the City Clerk including an amendment request from Robert Ladnier, Facilities Director, for repairs to the balcony at the Civic Center in the amount of $2,362.48 (Exhibit 2).

 

Motion was made by Alderman Cody, seconded by Alderman Jalanavich and unanimously carried to approve the release of budgeted funding requests and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to sign warrants 3/31/05 for the following:

 

          1.  Walter Anderson Museum of Art $10,000.00 (Exhibit 3)

         2.  Gulf Coast Symphony Orchestra $2,500.00 (Exhibit 4)

         3.  Boys & Girls Clubs $4,000.00 (Exhibit 5)

         4.  1699 Committee $3,000.00 (Exhibit 6)

         5.  Chamber of Commerce $12,500 (Exhibit 7)

 

 Motion was made by Alderman Jalanavich, seconded by Alderman Dalgo and unanimously carried to approve the following budget amendments:
