A Recess Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Ainsworth at 6:20 p.m. on January 7, 2004, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Jalanivich, McDonnell, Cody and Carvin, and Deputy City Clerk Diane Northrop. Aldermen Lloyd, Dalgo and Gill, and City Attorney Oscar Jordan were absent.
Motion by Jalanivich, seconded by Carvin, to go into Closed Session to determine the necessity for an Executive Session.

The Deputy City Clerk announced to the audience that the Board had elected to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters.

Motion by Jalanivich, seconded by McDonnell, to resume the Regular Session.

Motion by McDonnell, seconded by Cody, to allow the Mayor and any Board member to attend the Gulf Coast Legislative Reception and Inaugural Activities in Jackson on January 13-14, 2004, and to pay all reasonable and actual expenses.
