A Special Call Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Ainsworth at 5:30 p.m. on April 8, 2003, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Jalanivich, Lloyd, Cody, Dalgo and Gill, and City Clerk Adrienne Howell. Alderman McDonnell was temporarily absent, and Alderman Carvin and City Attorney Oscar Jordan were absent.

(CAP Loan Public Notice)
Motion by Gill, seconded by Lloyd, to adopt the Resolution Providing for Operation and Maintenance of the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center for Arts and Education, and to authorize the City Planner to apply for a CAP Loan not to exceed $250,000.00 for renovations and rehabilitation to the old Ocean Springs High School auditorium (Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center) and publish the above and foregoing public notice as required.

Motion by Gill, seconded by Lloyd, to accept the Risk Manager’s recommendation to renew the builders risk insurance policy for the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center at a cost of $22,782.00 for the period of April 16-August 31, 2003, and to authorize payment to Fletcher Construction Co., Inc.

Motion by Dalgo, seconded by McDonnell, to adopt the Resolution appointing Greg Denyer as Civil Defense Shelter Coordinator for the City of Ocean Springs and authorizing payment of his expenses for attendance at the 2003 National Hurricane Conference in New Orleans, LA.
