A Special Call Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Ainsworth at 7:00 p.m. on July 12, 1999, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Garrard, McDonnell, Cody, Cosper, McKay and Gill, and City Clerk Adrienne Howell. Alderman Jalanivich and City Attorney Oscar Jordan were absent.

Mayor Ainsworth read aloud the following Special Call:

Motion by Garrard, seconded by Gill, to award the City’s garbage/recycling contract to BFI Waste Systems (Browning -Ferris Industries) for a period of five years at the rate of $8.93 per customer per month, and to approve the First Addendum to the contract and authorize the Mayor to sign said contract and addendum on behalf of the City.
