A Special Call Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Pro Tem Jalanivich at 5:00 p.m. on October 11, 2001, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Lloyd, McDonnell, Cody, Carvin, Dalgo and Gill, and City Clerk Adrienne Howell. Mayor Ainsworth and City Attorney Oscar Jordan were absent. Mayor Pro Tem Jalanivich chaired the meeting and did not vote on any of the following matters.

Mayor Pro Tem Jalanivich read aloud the following Special Call:

Motion by Cody, seconded by Carvin, to go into Closed Session to determine the necessity for an Executive Session.

Motion by Cody, seconded by Carvin, to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters in Supervision and Finance and a matter of potential litigation pertaining to employee insurance.

The City Clerk announced to the audience that the Board had elected to go into Executive Session to discuss personnel matters in Supervision and Finance and a matter of potential litigation pertaining to employee insurance.

After approximately 2 hours the Executive Session ended.

Motion by Carvin, seconded by Lloyd, to resume the Regular Session.

Motion by McDonnell, seconded by Carvin, to make Jill McDonnell a department head in charge of risk management, human resources and personnel, effective 8:00 a.m. on October 12, 2001.
