A Special Call Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Ainsworth at 5:30 p.m. on November 20, 2001, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Jalanivich, Lloyd, McDonnell, Cody, Carvin, and Dalgo, City Attorney Oscar Jordan and City Clerk Adrienne Howell. Alderman Gill was absent.

Mayor Ainsworth read aloud the following Special Call:

The following memorandum from the City Clerk pertaining to the City of Ocean Springs contracting with ADP for payroll and time attendance was presented to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for consideration.

Motion by Jalanivich, seconded by Carvin, to approve the above memorandum and place it on the minutes.

Motion by Cody, seconded by Carvin, to accept the terms and conditions and service agreement(s) with ADP in substantially the form as presented, understanding that if any part should conflict with Mississippi State Law, then Mississippi law will prevail; and authorize the City Clerk to execute any and all documents required by ADP.

Motion by Carvin, seconded by Cody to approve the letter dated November 19, 2001, wherein the Human Resource Director is authorized to resolve any issues pertaining to employees’ time prior to going on line with ADP.
