A Special Call Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Ainsworth at 6:00 p.m. on June 13, 2001, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Jalanivich, Garrard, Cody and Gill, City Attorney Oscar Jordan and City Clerk Adrienne Howell. Aldermen McDonnell, Cosper and Denyer were absent.

Mayor Ainsworth read aloud the following Special Call:

Motion by Cody, seconded by Gill, to adopt the above and foregoing Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency and spread the letter from the Public Works Director upon the minutes.

Motion by Jalanivich, seconded by Cody, to appoint Public Works Director Andre Kaufman as Disaster Coordinator at an hourly rate equal to his current salary.
