SPECIAL CALL MEETING OF JANUARY 30, 2001

 

A Special Call Meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Ocean Springs was called to order by Mayor Ainsworth at 6:00 p.m. on January 30, 2001, at City Hall in the City of Ocean Springs. Present were Aldermen Jalanivich, Garrard, McDonnell, Cody, Cosper, Denyer and Gill, City Attorney Oscar Jordan and City Clerk Adrienne Howell.

Mayor Ainsworth read aloud the following Special Call:

(Dependable Plumbing Invoice)

Motion by Cody, seconded by Jalanivich, to establish a budget in the sewer fund in the amount of $461,521.00 for the Highway 90 Utility Relocation Project and to authorize payment of the invoice from Dependable Plumbing, Inc. in the amount of $94,297.72.

The City Clerk reported that the City’s cost for the utility relocation project would be $203,392.00 and MDOT’s cost would be $258,129.00. David Compton of Compton Engineering provided the following detailed cost report and agreed to prepare and submit pay requests to MDOT.

Motion by Cody, seconded by Garrard, to approve the Amended Budget for FYE 2001 and authorize the City Clerk to establish a fund and budget for the project regarding the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center for Arts and Education.

Motion by Cody, seconded by Jalanivich, to adopt the Order Amending FYE 2000-2001 Budget Appropriations for items exceeding 10% of the original adopted budget and authorize the City Clerk to publish said order.
